A Present Picture of the Past

From left to right: Richard, Angelica, Raymond, Nathalie(Me)

With just one snap, how I wish we could just simply go back in time wherein we don't care about what clothes we wear; about how our hair looks like; or how messy we could get.

That time. When we're still those little kids who would play hide-and-seek inside the house, who would make the so-called "bahay-bahayan" using our blankets and bedsheets, who would pretend selling items using candy wrappers as moneys and those who would play and play all day long. That's how me and my siblings live our life as children.

I miss being a kid wherein I will only worry about how to make my great escape to my mom just to play outside during siesta time; my biggest problem is how to memorize the ABC's or  count 1-10 when mom told me to; my greatest heartache is when my parents haven't bought me a toy that I really wanted so much; and the most painful feeling is when I got wounded when I stumble down while running.

Well, I really can't deny the fact that we are all grown-ups now. We worry no more about small things. The stuffs that we usually do as kids became more boring and more silly for us each day. But, I have just realized that being a kid was all fun. Less worries. Less pain. No stress. No bad hair days. No heartbreaks. No serious problems. *sigh*

Still whatever it is, I should live with no regrets. Like what others say, YOLO, or You Only Live Once, so why not live life to the fullest? After all, I cannot really do something to bring the past back and start being a kid all over again with my brothers and sister.

Yeah, those childhood moments are now all gone as memories. But I know for sure that those mem'ries are the ones whom I will cherish the most. We've been together for so long and no one could actually replace those happy memories we had. We can always make the past fresh at present by reminiscing and let those moments endure in our heart 'till we grow old. Coz at the end of the day, you will always find your siblings as your bestest friends among your friends outside the door. They're the ones who know you like the back of your hand. No matter how many times we get into a small or a big fight, a loving brother and sister will always find everything forgivable. And that's what makes a family, a true FAMILY. A family who would love you unconditionally.
