Ten Things AlDub Did to Me

I don’t like AlDub.

I. super. love. them! So much, it pushed me to create a blog post about this phenomenal loveteam. And so here it is.

It's been a month since Alden and Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza) was accidentally paired to be a loveteam on Eat Bulaga’s “Kalyeserye”(street series) which also means that I’ve been totally insane (yes, insane) for this loveteam for a month, too. As the number of fans and supporters grow faster, the AlDub fever is getting higher and hotter each day. Honestly, I have never loved and became a solid fan of any loveteam before that’s why I’m so surprised with myself that one day, I just started to have a thing for AlDub that I got really hooked with them. Maybe because they are a lot different from any other loveteams we used to see in the television. This loveteam is addicting! Once you’re in, it is so hard to stop. So I listed ten things that AlDub did to me or probably also to you.

1. I always die from "kilig". Well not literally die but almost die. One word but it describes all the feels for the loveteam. The undeniable chemistry and spark of Alden and Yaya Dub has gotten to all the viewers, either young or adult. They haven’t talked face to face, hugged, held hands, kissed or done any physical intimacy but I don’t know how these two can send butterflies in my stomach. Their “pabebe wave” is enough for me to have that smile I can hardly wipe off my face, plus their newest “pabebe swear.” But what really makes me feel the entire animal kingdom in my stomach is their paper-and-marker conversations! I’m not sure up to when I’m still able to contain this intense “kilig” feeling for AlDub.  Where else can you find a loveteam with this kind of setup but still never fails to bring kilig to everyone? They don’t even have to try hard!

2. Songs are stuck in my head. “God gave me you, to show me what’s real...” “Cause darling I will be loving you till we’re seventy...” “Naniniwala na ako sa forever magmula nung nakilala kita...” Of course, you know these lyrics and I know you might be singing right now because I’m singing too the moment I typed them. These lines have been playing in my head all over again and it is stuck there ever since I started watching AlDub. And every time I hear any of these songs being played anywhere, the only person that pops in my mind is either Alden or Yaya Dub. Seriously, I really can’t get enough of them!

3. I’m more active in social media. Facebook. Twitter. Tumblr. What else? I’m pretty sure you have posted or tweeted something about AlDub, too. These past weeks, I am more active in Twitter tweeting and reading tweets about the loveteam. Who would have thought that this accidental loveteam would be hitting the top spot of Philippine trends everyday as well as taking a spot on the worldwide trends? I enjoy reading/seeing  tweets of the fans most especially the edited photos of Alden and Maine together. The fans are insane! I can tell. If you had created a fan-based account for AlDub, hands down on you. Honestly, I’d also thought of creating one but I didn’t had the chance to do so because 1) I don’t have all the time to be updated on my tweets because I can’t watch everyday; and 2) I can’t think of a good username to use (I’m serious, ‘twas so hard to think of something good).

4. I can see them everywhere. When you you see Alden or Maine’s face every time you look at your phone or open your laptop, then you probably downloaded their photos and made them your wallpaper. I haven’t done neither of this, though. But I have something to confess. I downloaded different photos of Alden from the web. You can’t judge me. He is too handsome and too hot, I CAN’T EVEN. No doubt, he is a full package! Thanks God for this wonderful creature.  I even made his photo my header on Twitter. I’m really not obsessed with this guy.

5. I stalked. My skills in stalking never gets old. I stalked (or rather followed) Alden and Maine’s account on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. If you haven’t done this, well you should and I know you will. It’s like you got to know the both of them better and made yourself closer to them. I don’t know if somebody feels the same way or is it just me?

6. I watch episodes online. Once I missed any episode of the AlDub kalyeserye, I instantly watched it on Youtube. Because I’m not able to watch it live everyday, I rely on the posted replays online. Thank you for the Youtube channels and other sites who upload the kalyeserye episode replays daily. You don’t know how many lives you save. Haha

7.  I  can’t stop. Because I am totally hooked, I can’t stop thinking about the loveteam and what would happen next or how would their love story end. My mind is preoccupied with this loveteam and the whole kalyeserye thing when I’m on a jeepney on the way to work, before I fall asleep at night or while taking a bath. Me and my friends can’t stop talking about it, too. Probably because we can't contain the feeling all by ourselves that we have to share it to anyone who can relate. We rarely see each other now but when we do, most of the talks are about AlDub. I don’t know what this loveteam did to us.

8. I can’t stand the wait. If you are not excited about when and how Alden and Yaya Dub would meet, I suggest to have yourself checked.  I mean, are you serious? The whole world is so stoked and can’t stand the wait for the two of them to meet! I actually kinda hate it when they are so close yet they still didn’t had the chance to meet. Then I always end up left bawling over what just happened. I am so affected. Mentally and emotionally. When is the right time for the two of them to finally meet???!

9. I badly wish for a movie!! Many fans (that includes me) are looking forward for a show or a movie for AlDub. Yes, please!! I am not a fan of Pinoy movies (forgive me) but if ever the two of them made a movie together, you’ll see me at the very first spot on the line for movie tickets. Who’s with me?

10. I simply love them. I don’t know why or how but I am just head over heels in love with this loveteam. No more, no less. If you’re a fan, of course you love them. Whatever the bashers have to say, they can’t stop you from believing and showing your support to Alden and Yaya Dub and the whole show. AlDub becomes your everything.

So these are just ten among many things that AlDub did to me. How about you? What are the things this loveteam did to you? Have you related to some things listed above? Let me know by leaving your comment below or tweeting me. I would love to hear from you ;)
